Rookie Leads Cubbies Homerun Race
The Cubs homerun race started with a bang in 2019.
Cubs Veteran Garrett Cyr opened up the 2019 homerun campaign with a massive blast in Sherwood Park which was immediately followed by the next batter Tony Olson going little league style with a inside the park homerun.
Since then there has been 5 homeruns from the Cubs squad. Last years Sunburst First-Base All-Star Bo Meiklejohn has left the yard twice and rookie signee out of the University of British Columbia Tony Olson has added 3 more to his resume.
The race is close as the Cubbies pass the halfway mark of the 2019 season.
